The PD 230/E is an expandable lathe/milling system, made in Europe. You will enjoy its constant precision. The machine is on a solid cast iron bed with ground prism ways for the tool rest and tailstock, ensuring minimal deflection even at high loads.

Complete with an automatic feed capability for cutting threads, this small lathe is usable on steel, brass, aluminium or plastic workpieces, in parting operations, machining of stock, and cutting of tapers.

The lathe features a headstock and three-jaw chuck with a 2mm - 68mm clamping capacity, a live centre with thrust bearing, and a top slide for taper turning. We offer numerous optional accessories to allow you to do drilling, milling and slotting operations on the same machine.

Any combination of spindle speeds between 100rpm and 3,000rpm can be achieved by swapping the drive belt position and using the electronic speed controller. The precision ball bearings in the spindle yield an accuracy of 0.01mm without the chuck, at any speed.

The practical handwheels have zero-adjustable scales; 1 division = 0.025mm, 1 revolution = 1mm.
