State-of-the-art manufacturing technology and recipes have permitted a selective optimization

for diverse application needs. Each design meets all practical requirements, allowing the user

to find the ideal cut-off wheel for any type of work.

With the development of abrasive cut-off wheels based on the ECO concept, PFERD is again

setting new standards in abrasive cutting technology. ECO cut-off wheels are noted for their

unsurpassed cutting performance - a major achievement by PFERD engineers who have

succeeded in concentrating the abrasive action of conventional cut-off wheels in the useful (i.e.,

efficient) tool surface area. The inefficient "waste" part of the wheel has been replaced with a

metal hub that can be recycled along with 100% pure metal fraction scrap. This piece of

PFERD innovation has won us the Federal Ministry of Research and Development's excellence

award. Given its success in the marketplace, the ECO range has by now been extended to

include a number of new tool lines.
