Why do we offer not polished Two Cherries Chisels?
Two Cherries chisels are well known for coming with a highly-polished finish.
The polishing process creates a mirror finish on the surface of the steel, which looks very nice,
and reduces friction with the wood. But the polishing process, done with a soft wheel, rounds the bevel and the face of the chisel slightly.
When one would like to do very precise work with wood, completely flat surfaces are a must.
So for those who value being able to do the finest work,
we sell Two Cherries chisels that have been ground and sharpened to a very high standard, but with no mirror finish.
