looking at learning and getting into some hobby cnc creativity. had bought a mf70 mill and wanted to extend it to some automation to improve repeatability of constructions. i had sourced motors from industrial printers and had got online a parallel printer port controller.
All i was missing was some way to interface the two. I stumbled on this kit and within seconds purchased. on arrival made the conversion in less than two hours and was off and running learning the world of cnc. brilliant kit -only gave it 4 stars due to the fact i need to work out and modify myself to include limit switches and table centre locator. If this could be engineered in with the little bit of electronic wiring this would be a real winner....

A few years ago,I did a CNC conversion on a MF70 and it took me about 2 weeks working an hour or 2 each night marking everything out, cutting aluminium plates tapping threads and then re-doing it all after making mistakes.
A while ago,I was asked if I could have a go at doing a CNC conversion on a MF70 using this bolt on kit. I accepted the challenge. The kit arrived all packaged nicely,So no parts are lost or missing. The workmanship on this kit is much better than I could ever do.
I arrived onsite to do the conversion and after a while talking with the owner of the MF70 I got started doing the conversion.
The kit even has allen keys!
The whole time doing the conversion,The machine owner and myself were chatting about the machines as we do and 10-15 minutes later,It was done.
After doing that one conversion,I feel I could do it in around 5 minutes without talking. But 10-15 minutes if great.
Everything lines up perfectly. The threads are all clean.
If I buy another MF70,I will save myself the trouble and expense of buying a few bolts here and there and machining all the bits and pieces.
All the hard work is done with this kit,Just bolt it on and be machining stuff that same morning.
